ACV or apple cider vinegar is one of the best ways to remove plantar warts. Soak a cotton ball with few drops of ACV, place it over the wart, and fasten it with a first aid tape or a bandage and leave it overnight. Repeat the cycle every night until the root (a black dot or portion in the wart) of the wart is completely gone. The wart should peel off within a couple of weeks.

Castor oil is another home remedy to remove plantar warts. Apply 1 to 2 drops of castor oil on the wart each day, and cover with a bandage. Continue the process until the wart goes off.

Banana skin or potato can also help in removing plantar warts. Cover the wart with the fleshy side of a small banana skin or freshly cut potato and secure it with a band aid or plaster and leave it overnight. Continue the treatment until the wart turns black in color. In due time, the wart will easily come off.

Salicylic acid is another effective way for removing plantar warts. Firstly, soak the wart for few minutes, and then file off the dead cells with a nail file. Apply directly on the wart and cover it with cotton, secure it with duct tape and leave it overnight. Vaseline can be applied around the wart area to prevent damage to the skin around the wart. Continue the process regularly. The wart will slowly become smaller and go away within few weeks.

The above remedies slowly remove the wart by dissolving the dead skin along with the virus little by little until it vanishes. Different remedy may work on different people. The most important thing in treating plantar wart is treating it regularly. Treat the wart regularly until it vanishes or falls off, otherwise it was come back again.
